RULE 17A-3 REQUIRES REGISTERED BROKER-DEALERS TO MAINTAIN CERTAIN RECORDS. THESE RECORDS ARE ESSENTIAL TO REGULATORY INVESTIGATIONS AND PROCEEDINGS AND ARE IMPORTANT FOR PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC.
