A-40 (REVISED, DATED MAY 3, 1973) BECAUSE IT REQURIES NO INFORMATION OTHER THAN THAT NECESSARY TO IDENTIFY THE HOUSING COUNSELING AGECY. FORM HUD 9914 IS ALSO NOT SUBJECT TO THE ACT BECAUSE IT IS AN INTERNAL USE FORM THAT REQUIRES ONLY THE SIGNNATURE OF THE APPROVING HOUSING COUNSELING AGENCY OFFICAL IN ADDITION, HUD SHOULD REESTIMATE THE BURDEN FOR FORM 9900 AND PROVID OMB WITH A DETAILED JUSTIFICATION PRIOR TO THE SUBMISSION OF THE FY 84 ICB.

Abstract:
SECTION 106 OF THE HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1968 AUTHORIZE HUD TO APPROVE ORGANIZATIONS WITH SPECIAL COMPETENCE IN COUNSELING LOW-INCOME FAMILIES TO PROVIDE COUNSELING ON HOUSING CONCERNS. THE FORMS ALL BASIC TO THE IMPLEMENTATION AND MONITORING OF THE PROGRAM.
