DRUG. ABUSE. DAWN IS AN EPIDEMIOLOGIC SYSTEM TO IDENTIFY LICIT AND ILLICIT DRUGS AND SUBSTANCES ASSOCIATES WITH DRUG ABUSE MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY, TO MONITOR DRUG ABUSE TRENDS AND PATTERNS, AND TO PROVIDE DRUG SPECIFIC DATA USEFUL FOR NATIONAL AND LOCAL DRUG ABUSE POLICY ASSESSMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH DRUG ABUSE.
