Abstract:
SECTION 314 OF THE FEDERAL LAND POLICY AND MANAGEMENT ACT OF 1976 (43 USC 1744) REQUIRES THAT ALL MINING CLAIMS AND SITES BE RECORDED WITH T BUREAU AND THAT EACH YEAR THE OWNER OF THE CLAIM OR SITE MUST FILE PROOF OF ANNUAL ASSESSMENT WORK OR A NOTICE OF INTENT TO HOLD THE CLAI OR SITE. THESE REGULATIONS PROVIDE THE PROCEDURES AND METHODS FOR THE RECORDATION AND ADJUDICATION OF CLAIMS AND SITES UNDER THE ACT.
