In accordance with 5 USC 1320, OMB approves the "BE-11C Survey of U.S. Direct Investment Abroad," subject to three conditions. First, the exemption level for reporting on the BE-11C form be set at 20% ownership in a foreign affiliate with assets over $10 million. Second, if the U.S. Reporter owns between 10% and 20% of a foreign affiliate and the assets of the affiliate exceed $100 million, the U.S. Reporter shall report, for 1987 only, data on assets, sales, and net income. Third, BEA shall evaluate the time it takes to assemble and present the data collected from this survey, and report back to OMB by September 1st, 1988 on what steps have been taken to ensure more timely publication of the data.
