THE FAA ACT OF 1958 AUTHORIZES ISSUANCE OF AIRMAN CERTIFICATES. 14 CFR 61 PRESCRIBES REQUIREMENTS FOR PILOT AND FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATES. THE CFR PRESCRIBES REQUIREMENTS FOR GROUND INSTRUCTORS. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED IS USED TO DETERMINE COMPLIANC AND APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY.
