This paperwork is approved for the requested clearance. However, OMB is still concerned with progress on the paperless exercise, whereby the information collection can be transmitted electronically. We recognize that NHTSA is moving in this direction and coordinating its efforts with the U.S. Customs Service. OMB may wish to reexamine this issue should the paperless exercise become operational by the expiration date.
