Abstract:
THE MINING LAW OF 1872 (30 USC 21-54) REQUIRES THE ISSUANCE OF A MINERAL PATENT WHERE THE REQUIREMENT OF THE LAW HAVE BEEN MET AND A MINERAL PATENT APPLIED FOR. A MINERAL SURVEY OF THE MINING CLAIM(S) MUST BE SUBMITTED AS PART OF THE MINERAL PATENT APPLICATION. FORM 3860-5 IS AN APPLICATION FOR THE SURVEYING BY AN AUTHORIZED U.S. MINERAL SURVEYOR. RESPONDENTS MAY RANGE FROM AN INDIVIDUAL TO A MULTI-NATIONAL CORPORATION.
