ALIENS, VISA, APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY, NONIMMIGRANTS' THE NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION, OF-156, IS REQUIRED OF ALIENS SEEKING A VISA TO ENTE THE UNITED STATES FOR A TEMPORARY STAY. INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THE FORM ASSISTS CONSULAR OFFICERS IN DETERMINING WHICH CLASSIFICATION OF VISA IS APPROPRIATE AND THE APPLICANT'S ELIGIBILITY TO RECEIVE THAT VISA.
