Abstract:
RULE 12D2-1 WHICH WAS ADOPTED IN 1935 REQUIRES THAT NATIONAL SECURITIE EXCHANGES SEND WRITTEN NOTICES TO THE COMMISSION OF ALL TRADING SUSPENSIONS. THE NOTICES PROVIDE THE COMMISSION WITH NECESSARY INFORMATION TO ENABLE IT TO ASSURE THAT THE SUSPENSION HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES OF THE EXCHANGE AND THAT THE TRADING SUSPENSION WAS PROPER.
