Terms of Clearance:
This ICR which covers changes in monitoring and reporting requirements associated with the final storm water implementation rule is approved until 10/94 when the base ICR, Discharge Monitoring Reports, expires. The terms of clearance of the DMR ICR remain in effect. In this ICR, EPA has done an excellent job in choosing a flexible monitoring approa which allows EPA and states to target monitoring based on risk to the environment while greatly reducing the burden on the regulated community.

THIS NOTICE EXTENDS CERTAIN DEADLINES FOR PERMIT APPLICATION SUBMITTAL MODIFIES MINIMUM MONITORING REQUIREMENTS FOR STORM WATER DISCHARGES, ESTABLISHES MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR NOTICES OF INTENT TO BE COVERED BY GENERAL PERMITS, AND PROVIDES GUIDANCE FOR STATE STORM WATER PERMITTING PLANS.
