This data collection is approved with the changes submitted by FAX on July 28,1992, subject to the condition that, on or before August 1,199 the Census Bureau and the National Center for Education Statistics sha jointly submit a plan for reducing or eliminating duplication between this data collection and the data collection covered in OMB Docket No. 1850-0067. The expiration date for this clearance has been selected to assure that both this and the NCES survey will be reviewed jointly in January, 1995. It is expected that a coordinated or joint program for meeting the needs of both agencies and reconciling current differences in estimates will be finalized at that time.

THE F-33 FORM IS USED TO COLLECT FINANCIAL DATA FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEMS. DATA ARE INCORPORATED WITH OTHER LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE DA AND ENTERED INTO THE NATIONAL INCOME ACCOUNTS. DATA ARE ALSO USED IN LONG-ESTABLISHED BUREAU REPORTS AND PROVIDED TO THE NATIONAL CENTER FO EDUCATION STATISTICS.
