Abstract:
THE REGULATION REQUIRES: 1) HANDLERS OF PCB WASTE TO OBTAIN ID NUMBERS FROM EPA, 2) PCB WASTE TO BE MANIFESTED, USING ID NUMBERS, 3) DISCREPANCIES IN MANIFESTED WASTE TO BE REPORTED TO EPA, 4) COMMERCIAL STORERS OF PCB WASTE TO SUBMIT CLOSURE PLANS AND FINANCIAL ASSURANCE FOR EPA APPROVAL OF THEIR FACILITIES, AND 5) USERS STORERS, AND DISPOSERS TO KEEP RECORDS OF THEIR PCB ACTIVITIES. THESE REQUIREMENTS WILL ENABLE EPA TO MONITOR THE MOVEMENT AND ULTIMATE DISPOSAL OF PCB'S FOR COMPLIANCE PURPOSES.
