Abstract:
EPA USES MANUFACTURES' ASSEMBLY-LINE EMISSIONS DATA AND PROJECTED SALE TO SELECT ENGINE CLASSES TO BE TESTED DURING SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT AUDITS (SEAS). INFORMATION OBTAINED VIA SEAS ENABLES EPA TO DETERMINE EMISSIONS CONFORMITY OF NEW LIGHT-DUTY VEHICLES, LIGHT-DUTY TRUCKS, AN HEAVY-DUTY ENGINES. SEAS ARE CONDUCTED THROUGHOUT EACH MODEL YEAR.
