12 CFR SECTION 545.92 REQUIRES FEDERALLY CHARTERED INSTITUTIONS PROPOSING TO ESTABLISH A BRANCH OFFICE OR TO CHANGE THE LOCATION OF A BRANCH OFFICE TO FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE OTS. SECTION 228 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION IMPROVEMENT ACT REQUIRES INSURED THRIFTS TO ADOPT A POLICY WITH RESPECT TO BRANCH CLOSINGS AND TO PROVI NOTICE TO OTS OF ANY DECISIONS TO CLOSE A BRANCH OFFICE.
