Abstract:
THE REAL ESTATE SETTLEMENT PROCEDURES ACT AT U.S.C. 2609(C) REQUIRES MORTGAGE ORIGINATORS TO SUBMIT AN INITIAL ESCROW ACCOUNT STATEMENT DESCRIBING PAYMENTS TO AND DISBUSEMENTS FROM THE ACCOUNT. MORTGAGE SERVICERS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ANNUAL ESCROW ACCOUNT STATEMENTS DESCRIBING THE PAST YEAR'S ACTIVITY AND CERTIFYING THAT THE ACCOUNT WA OPERATED LEGALLY.
