Abstract:
MARINE CASUALTY INFORMATION COLLECTION IS NECESSARY FOR INFORMING THE COAST GUARD OF COMMERCIAL VESSEL CASUALTIES INVOLVING DEATH, VESSEL DAMAGE, ETC., AS MANDATED BY CONGRESS. CHEMICAL TESTING INFORMATION COLLECTION IS NECESSARY FOR IMPROVING THE COAST GUARD'S CAPABILITY TO DETECT/REDUCE DRUG USE BY MARINERS. INFORMATION RELATIVE TO THE RESUL OF THESE TESTS MUST BE SENT TO THE COAST GUARD TO ANALYZE, EVALUATE, A MONITOR PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS.
