Abstract:
12 CFR 545.74 REQUIRES FEDERAL ASSOCIATIONS TO OBTAIN OTS APPROVAL PRI TO OPERATING A SERVICE CORPORATION ENGAGED IN AN ACTIVITY NOT PREAPPROVED BY REGULATION. THE REGULATION ALSO CONTAINS A RECORDKEEPI REQUIREMENT FOR SECURITIES BROKERAGE SERVICES. THESE REQUIREMENTS ALL THE OTS TO REVIEW SERVICE CORPORATION ACTIVITIES AND TO ENSURE THAT TH WILL NOT ADVERSELY AFFECT AN INSTITUTION'S SAFETY AND SOUNDNESS.
