Abstract:
STATE AND LOCAL AIR POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCIES ARE REQUIRED TO OPERATE AMBIENT SAMPLERS AND TO SUBMIT AMBIENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE DATA TO EPA QUARTERLY. PROPOSED RULES WOULD REDUCE AMBIENT SULFUR DIOXIDE SAMPLING AND PROMOTE TARGETED MONITORING NEAR SOURCES WHERE HIGH SHORT-TERM S02 CONCENTRATIONS ARE LIKELY TO BE EXPERIENCED.
