Terms of Clearance:
This ICR is approved for eighteen months as submitted. However, EPA has agreed to carefully examine the TSCA inventory correction policy as part of its workgroup on the Inventory Update. EPA will involve interested stakeholders especially those that have proposed modifications to the corrections policy. EPA should attempt to minimize the burden on respondents with legitimate Inventory corrections. EPA shall examine the policy on an expedited basis and make appropriate changes through notice and comment within the next eighteen months. When EPA resubmits the ICR for renewal, it should summarize its reinvention efforts including which suggested changes the agency supports and which its rejects, with an explanation of its actions.

THIS INFORMATION COLLECTION REQUEST PERTAINS TO THE EXTENSION OF THE TSCA INVENTORY REPORTING FORM C, USED BY THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY IN SUBMITTING REQUESTS TO OPPT TO CORRECT MISREPORTED CHEMICAL IDENTITIES OF SUBSTANCES LISTED ON THE TSCA INVENTORY. THESE REQUESTS ARE INITIATED IN ALMOST ALL CASES BY THE ORIGINAL SUBMITTER.
