Abstract:
The revised Hazard Ranking System (HRS) will be used to evaluate the relative risk to human health and the environment posed by actual or threatened releases of hazardous substances. Uniform application of the HRS by the States enables EPA to identify and list on the National Priorities List sites that warrant further investigation.
