Abstract:
The Office records about 170,000 assignments or documents related to ownership of paten and trademark cases each year. The Office requires a cover sheet to expedite the processing of these docu- ments and to ensure that they are properly recorded. The affect- ed public consists of parties with interest in patents and trade- marks and members of the public who use the Office's assignment records.
