Abstract:
Secures data on transaction between U.S. affiliates and foreign parents needed to compile the U.S. balance of payments, international investment position, and the national income and product accounts. The data are also needed to measure the amount of foreign direct investment in the United States (FDIUS), monitor changes in such investment, assess its impact on the U.S. and foreign economies, and based on that assessment, make informed policy decisions regarding FDIUS.
