Abstract:
This survey gathers data on plant capacity from a sample of manufacturing firms in the United States. The data are used by the Federal Reserve Board, Federal Emergency Management Agency, International Trade Administration, and the Department of Defense. Data are used in measuring inflationary pressures, capital flows, understanding productivity determinants, and analyzing and forecasting economic and industrial trends.
