Before resubmission of this ICR for extension, the agency should revisit the estimate of wages, taking into consideration guidance provided by the agency's information office and the Office of Management and Budget. The Agency should also assess any changes to burden taking into account experience with the 1998 rule "Revision of Standards of Performance for Nitrogen Oxide Emissions From new Fossil-Fuel Fired Steam Generating Units; Revisions to Reporting Requirements for Standards of Performance for New Fossil-Fuel Fired Steam Generating Units".

Abstract: Owners or operators of affected facilities must: make one-time- only notifications of occurances such as construction/recon- struction and startup; submit reports containing information such as monitoring results and excess emissions; and maintain records of occurrences such as startups and shutdoens. Responses to this information collection are deemed to be mandatory, per Section 114(a) of the Clean Air Act.
