Abstract:
The regulations at 43 CFR 3100 and 3200 provide for the leasing of oil and gas and geothemal resources on Federal lands. The Bureau of Land Management needs the information to determine the highest qualified bonus bid submitted for a competitive oil and gas or geothemal parcel and to complete environmental reviews to be in compliance with the requirements of the National Environment Policy Act. Respondents are individual, small companies and large corporations who submit bids on available lands and conduct geothemal geophysical operations.
