These information collection provisions associated with the Perkins Loans NPRM for the Perkins Loan program are not approved at this time. ED is examining public comment in response to this NPRM. Abstract:
Institutions of higher education make Perkins loans. Information is necessary in order to monitor a school's reimbursement to its Perkins loan revolving fund, monitor how collection costs are charged to borrowers on rehabilitated loans and to monitor the assignment of defaulted Perkins loans to the Department.
