Approved for use through 7/2003 under the condition that prior to the next submission, RRB submits correction worksheets with an explanation of the reestimates for all collections implemented online through the APPLE project (i.e. OMB Nos. 3220-0031, 3220- 0030, 3220-0042, and 3220-0002.) In addition, no later than 9/2002, RRB must brief OMB on the current status of all compo- nents of the APPLE system.

Abstract:
The Railroad Retirement Act provides for the payment of annuities to spouses of railroad retirement annuitants who meet the requirements under the Act. The application obtains information supporting the claim for benefits based on being a spouse of an annuitant. The information is used for determining entitlement to and amount of the annuity applied for.
