The next time DOE submits this clearance for OMB review, it will outline the progress that has been made toward removing the 12 security related forms that have historically been included under this clearance but that may no longer be used by DOE. Before any of those 12 forms can be removed from this clearance, DOE must provide reasonable assurance that they are not being used by the agency, or, if they are, that they are covered under a separate OMB clearance. On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
