Abstract:
The Rule implements the Children's Online Privacy Protection act Title XIII of Pub. L. No. 105-277, 112 Stat. 281 (Oct. 21, 1998), which prohibits unfair and deceptive acts and practices in collecting and using personally identifiable information from and about children via the Internet.
