The Census Bureau will request a no material/nonsubstantive change to a currently approved collection through ROCIS as soon as it modifies and finalizes the complete set of IC forms/documents for the 2007 Census of the Island Areas covering Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa and before they are used to collect information from the public. The documents approved for this ICR are those with the latest date for each individual document type. The Census Bureau will request a no material/nonsubstantive change to a currently approved collection through ROCIS to increase the approved burden hours in 2008 as shown in the supporting statement.

Abstract:
The 2007 Economic Census of Island Areas, conducted under the authority of Title 13, United States Code (USC), is the primary source of dependable facts about the structure and functioning of the economies of the Island Areas. The census provides the only source of data at a geographic level equivalent to U.S. counties. Economic census statistics provide benchmarks for indexes of industrial production, business activities and sales. Census data provide a framework for estimating the gross product of these areas and provide essential information for government, business, and the general public.
