Short Statement:
The estimated burden for the Part 50 clearance renewal would have been reduced for almost all information collection requirements and resulted in an overall burden decrease. However, during the projected clearance renewal, NRC expects to receive applications for 19 combined operating licenses (COLs). While most of the burden for these application requirements will be captured in the clearance for 10 CFR Part 52, the seismic analysis required by Appendix S (Section 32 of the clearance package) is captured in Part 50. Overall, the estimated burden has increased by .86M hours over the current clearance, an increase of 16 percent, primarily because of new burdens associated with 19 new applications for combined operating licenses. The number of responses has increased from 7,124 to 45,513 because of the inclusion of responses for automated morning reports from each power reactor.
