Terms of Clearance: Previous terms of clearance have been addressed as follows: Discussions with the FCC regarding the prior terms of clearance and the sensitivity of financial information collected indicates: 1) Fees can be paid to the FCC online electronically through a secured program eliminating the need for human interaction with direct account numbers; 2) All mail-in-payments containing account numbers are received and keyed-in by the FCCs designated lockbox Bank directly; and 3) any direct interaction by FCC with transmitted account numbers is limited only to cases where necessary, such as charge-backs or disputes. Short Statement: On August 6, 2007, the FCC released a Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (R&O and FNPRM), Assessment and Collection of Regulatory Fees for Fiscal Year 2007, MD Docket No. 07-81, FCC 07-140. This R&O and FNPRM applied regulatory fee obligations to interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) providers. The Commission has also taken this opportunity to consolidate the information collection under OMB Control Number 3060-0949, "FCC Form 159-W, Interstate Telephone Service Worksheet," into this collection so that our family of Form 159 Remittance Advice forms are under a single OMB control number.
