Short Statement:
Burden for Tracking Survey computed as follows for the 3 types of respondents (teens ages 14-16, teens ages 17-18 and parent): Teens (ages 14-16): 5000 respondents per year with an average time/response of 15 minutes. Therefore total annual hour burden for 14-16 year old teens is 1,250 hours. Multiplying total annual burden by Hourly Wage Rate of $5.85 and assuming 50% employment at minimum wage yields a 14-16 respondent cost of $3,656.25. Teens (ages 17-18): 2000 respondents per year with an average time/response of 15 minutes. Therefore total annual hour burden for 17-18 year old teens is 500 hours. Multiplying total annual burden by Hourly Wage Rate of $5.85 and assuming 50% employment at minimum wage yields a 17-18 respondent cost of $1,462.50. Parents: 5000 respondents per year with an average time/response of 15 minutes. Therefore total annual hour burden for parents is 1,250 hours. Multiplying total annual burden by Hourly Wage Rate of $12.69 yields a parent respondent cost of $15,862.00. Therefore total respondent cost is $3,656.25 + $1,462.50 + $15,862.00, or $20,980.75.
