Abstract:
This information collection's application forms are used by for-hire motor carriers of regulated commodities, freight forwarders, property brokers, and certain Mexican motor carriers to register their operations with the FMCSA.
Emergency Justfication:
Without this emergency clearance, the Secretary of Transportation will not have a complete and independent review of the safety of Mexico-domiciled trucks and the procedures established by DOT for ensuring trucking safety nor will her decision to open the border to Mexico-domiciled motor carriers be based on through documentation of relevant factors.
