Abstract:
OSHA has revised the cranes and derricks standard for construction. The final rule and its collections of information requirements improves the protection of employees who are exposed to crane hazards. The final rule addresses the key hazards associated with crane use, including assembly/disassembly,ground conditions, electrocution from power lines, and improper operation.

OSHA is publishing at 29 CFR part 1926, subpart CC a safety standard for the construction industry that regulates cranes and derricks. The standard specifies a number of collection on information requirements. Employers and workers would use these collections of information to help ensure the safe operation of equipment covered by the Standard.
