Terms of Clearance:
Prior to the commencement of the 2012 Economic Census - Commodity Flow Survey (CFS) - Precanvass forms distribution, the Census Bureau shall provide on its Internet site prominent links to a set of finalized survey forms, including instructions and cover letters, comparable to those provided for the 2007 Economic Census report forms. The final forms and letters shall reflect any changes in the survey year, OMB number expiration date, and Census leadership from those submitted for review.

Abstract:
By collecting basic information about shipping activity and measure of size, the Precanvass for the 2012 CFS will greatly improve the sampling efficiency of auxiliary establishments in the 2012 CFS. In addition, the contact and address information collected will improve the reporting accuracy and timeliness of this critical component of the 2012 CFS.
