Abstract:
National banks file Call Reports pursuant to 12 U.S.C. 161 and other statutes. The data are used to evaluate and monitor the financial condition and earnings performance of individual banks as well as the entire banking industry. This submission involves adding two new items to the Call Report for collecting data related to deposit insurance assessments pursuant to changes made to the Federal Deposit Insurance Act regarding the insurance of transaction accounts.
