Abstract:
The Formaldehyde Standard and its collections of information are designed to provide protection for workers from the adverse health effects associated with occupational exposure to formaldehyde. The Standard requires employers to monitor worker exposure and provide notification to workers of their exposure. Employers are required to make available medical surveillance to workers.

Short Statement:
OSHA removed the requirement that employers transfer employee exposure-monitoring records and medical records to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in ยง1910.1020(h)(6), referenced in paragraphs 1910.1048(o)(6)(ii) and (iii), under the Standards Improvement Project-Phase III final rule. As a result of this rulemaking, the Agency requests a program change reduction of 2 hours.
