Short Statement: This information collection request demonstrates a programmatic reduction of 11,150 burden hours. This is the result of OSM's determinations that: our blasting records regulations are considered customary business activities and should not be considered a burden under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act; there is no regulatory burden for the temporary cessation notice provisions of our regulations; and modest increases in programmatic burden due to prior inadvertent omissions. This request also results in an increase in adjusted burden hours and non-wage costs due to reestimates following discussions with respondents.
