Abstract:
Regulation E establishes the rights, liabilities, and responsibilities of parties in electronic fund transfers (EFTs) and protects consumers using EFT systems. The information is also used to ensure adequate disclosure of basic terms, costs, and rights related to EFT services.

Short Statement:
The decrease in burden hours reflects both program changes and adjustments. The program changes removed burden for several one-time changes implemented under Docket R-1343 (required mandatory compliance by July 1, 2010) and Docket R-1377 (required mandatory compliance by August 22, 2010). Also, the respondent count was adjusted to reflect (1) the transfer of respondents to the CFPB and (2) the current number respondents required to comply with Reg E.
