There has been a name change for this data collection; from "DASIS" to the "National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services (N SSATS)." N-SSATS is the main survey component from the prior collection which provides both national and state-level data on the numbers and types of patients treated and the characteristics of facilities providing substance abuse treatment services.

Currently there are 15,706 burden hours in the OMB inventory. SAMHSA is now requesting 11,535 hours. The net decrease of 4,171 hours is due to an 8 hour addition for DASIS adjust-ments and a 4,179 hour decrease due to program changes.
