Short Statement:
The current approved total annual time burden associated with Form N-8F is 990 hours, based on an estimated burden of approximately 3 hours per form and an estimate of 330 annual applicants. We now estimate that approximately 142 investment companies file a Form N-8F annually, and that the average hour burden for an investment company to complete and file Form N-8F is 5.5 hours. Therefore, the new estimated annual hour burden for all applicants would be 781 hours, which represents a decrease of 209 hours for all applicants. This decrease is based on a decrease in the annual number of applicants from 330 to 142.
