Short Statement:
OSHA is proposing an adjustment decrease to the existing burden hour estimate of the collection of information requirements specified by the Standard. In this regard, the Agency is proposing to decrease the current burden hour estimate from 888,244 hours to 393,702 hours, a total decrease of 494,542 hours. The reasons for this reduction is a decrease in the number of trucks and the removal of burden hours associated with the time that employers provide training to workers. In addition, there is a decrease in costs under Item 13 from $247,640 to $232,365; a total decrease of $15,275. This decrease is also a result in the number of trucks covered under the Standard.
