Abstract:
This information collection is intended to improve safety on board vessels in the commercial fishing industry. The requirements apply to those vessels and to seamen on them. Respondents are owners, agents, individuals-in-charge of commercial fishing vessels, and insurance underwriters.

The change in burden is a PROGRAM CHANGE due to the 1625-AB85 Commercial Fishing Vessels rulemaking. The Coast Guard is adding new requirements for the documentation of equipment and dockside examination certification. The result of the Program Change is an increase in burden.
