Short Statement:
There has been a decrease in the annual hour burden hours. This is due to a decrease in the agency’s estimation of the number of respondents who will submit Form I-485. Form I-485 Supplements C and E have been incorporated in the reorganization of Form I-485. The time burden is no longer separated, instead it calculated into the burden hours for Form I-485. questions to make the form more user-friendly. The revised form expands upon existing inadmissibility questions to enhance national security and benefit integrity and support the USCIS mission to grant immigration benefits only to those applicants that are eligible under the law. The revision eliminates the requirement to file a separate Form G-325A (1615-0008) by incorporating Form G-325A questions into the new form. These changes will result in a decrease in the overall burden of seeking this benefit. Additionally, during the last submission the biometrics time burden was not included in the burden calculation. The time burden for biometrics collection has been included in this submission.
