The burden has increased due to an additional number of advisory committee member positions and Research and Promotion Board. The board and committee member positions are filled intermittently over a 2-4 year period. We receive an average of 3 applications per member vacancy.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
