Abstract:
CDC requests OMB approval to modify NYTS questionnaire content for 2020. Changes from the 2019 version of the NYTS questionnaire are summarized in a crosswalk. This request builds on the previous approval for three years to continue annual information collection for the National Youth Tobacco Survey (NYTS). Background: The NYTS was previously conducted by CDC in 2004, 2006, 2009, and on an annual basis for years 2011-2018. The NYTS employs a repeat cross-sectional design to develop national estimates of tobacco use behaviors and exposure to pro- and anti-tobacco influences among students enrolled in grades 6-12. This is a non-substantive change request to modify questions and to use the digital-based survey design.
