Abstract:
On April 13, 2020 the Department of Education published in the Federal Register a Notice of Proposed Priorities, Requirements, Definition, and Selection Criteria for the Education Innovation and Research Grant Programs's Teacher-Directed Professional Learning Experiences (Vol. 85, No. 71, pages 20455-20460). Specifically, the Department proposed a new priority and accompanying application requirements, definition, and selection criteria for applicants proposing to empower teachers to select professional learning. The Innovation and Early Learning Programs Division of the Department is requesting a reinstatement with change of the previously OMB approved 1855-0021 collection due to this rulemaking for the Education Innovation and Research (EIR) Application Package program authorized under Title VI, Part F, Subpart 1, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act.
