Short Statement: During PHMSA’s review of the burden, it was noted that PHMSA had historically been including information collections under § 175.31 for “Air Transportation Discrepancy Reports” under the broader information collection for shipping papers and emergency response information. By creating a separate information collection for “Air Transportation Discrepancy Reports” PHMSA does have a minor increase in the overall burden associated with this OMB Control Number.
